Hello 3rd Trimester!!

Finally in the home stretch!! We've got 14 more weeks til her due date and TONS to still do. Thankfully the big stuff like registering, ordering the furniture (complements of my parents!) and buying the stroller are all complete. Mom and I spent most of Saturday all over the place picking up and ordering the furniture and stroller. We bought/ordered 4 items....at 4 different stores. Phew! Somewhere between the Peets coffee and Taco Bell run, between 2 Babies R Us', IKEA and Lullaby Lane and LOTS of gabbing we were complete. It's all in boxes or still on order but it's off the list. We're not putting anything together until we get to the new place.

Now comes the hard part....the move. Our lease is up August 1st (yes, we're aware that's about 3 1/2 weeks from her due date) and we're trying to get into the new place by mid July. The move is for many different reasons, one being that rent is going WAY up with the new lease renewal and the other is that she'll be spending Monday thru Thursday afternoons with Nana so being closer to Grandpa and Nana's house will help relieve a lot a stress from everyone. The organizing began weeks ago though, prepping us for the big push. I'm actually not too worried about it though it will go smoothly I'm sure.

The one thing this pregnancy has brought me is patience to allow people to help. I tend to have the stubborn "I can do it myself" method for most tasks, frustrating those that love me to no end because they want to help. Zoey is allowing me to accept help....not too bad I have to admit. They old saying is is that "it takes a village" right? I'm starting to allow the village into my world. I'd say 1/2 of all my communication with Jay start with "baby wouldya mind..." He's been SO amazingly supportive. Poor guy has been on countless milkshake and pizza runs...thank goodness we currently live next door to both establishments. I'm so incredibly lucky, he offers to go on any food run or help with any task or chore, can't imagine being able to do any of this without his love and support. I like to think we make a pretty great team and as he so poignantly put the other day, phenomenal potential contestants on $100,000 Pyramid since we never know what we're talking about......."these are things that swing from trees and eat bananas.........THINGS A MONKEY WOULD DO!!!"

Summer could not come fast enough though!! I cannot wait for the sweltering heat and I don't even care I can't have a cold beer. With the summer heat comes lots of evening BBQs with friends, family parties at the park and afternoons at the pool. It's typically a slower time for us and even with the move and the anticipation of Z's big arrival we're going to try to keep it the same this summer. I find it very suiting that Zoe is going to be a summer baby, suits our family very well.

Here's a new pic of the ever growing Jenn....and for those wondering the belly tattoo is holding up just perfect.....for now. (I'll spare you the photo though)

Let's have a little fun....to-daay!! Elllllleeeennn....

Well been back for a week now from the Ellen show adventure, sorry a little late on the notes.

Our taping day started off with an AWESOME 2.5 hours tour of the Warner Bros. backlot. We got to sit on the Central Perk couches!! I got chills being in there! Also got to walk around the Chuck set....after meeting him last year and walking around his set this year I'm either 2 steps closer to him professing his love for me or a restraining order....either have equal likelyhood of coming to fruition.
Being the Ellen alumni we are we were FIRST and SECOND in line....no surprise. I'll spare you the long details of the show but we ultimatley came out with 2 of the following items: stoller, high chair/booter seat, diaper bag, organic baby bjorn, I love Ellen onesis, angora booties, personalized necklaces with your childs name and birthstone, bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, burp clothes, swaddlers, bath tubs, videdo monitors, organic lotions and wipes and 6 month supply of Huggies!!

So after the taping we were told to stick around in our seats so they could explain to us how we were taking our stuff home.....yes taking it home!! This, for 2 women who were so proud all we brought were a small carry on bag each, were now responsible for taking almost everything home! After filling out some forms, collecting our vouchers for the 2 large items (strollers and high chairs) and flagging down a cab, we followed our scavenger hunt map thru the labrynth of parking garage lanes to the pick up center where they were to load our cars with the remaining prizes. My mom was convinced we'd never get it all packed in the lack of lugagge we had but poor thing she was with me....Jenn "I gets what I wants" Cruz....I make things happen. After a 30 minute game of luggage Tetris we were packed...2 VERY heavy and packed roller carry-ons to check and 2 large shopping bags for us to carry on. Thank goodness the high chair and stroller didn't have to come with us....but come to think of it, the stoller would have made lugging those heavy awkward shopping bags through the airport SO much easier.

It took us a few days to finally recover from the stress, excitement and travel and now we're looking forward to our shopping trip next weekend; onto furniture and strollers!! Stay tuned!!
